About George Kokkos

    George received his BA in Ancient History and Archaeology after completing his studies in Britain and then served two years in the Greek Army as an Artillery Officer. He participated in various archaeological excavations in Greece and has attended numerous seminars and workshops on philosophy.

    He has worked in tourism for more than ten years. He loves being up on the mountains playing with his guitar and he enjoys flying. He also served as a volunteer in Legio II Adiutrix under emperor Hadrian  -a rather unpleasant but quite educational experience.


Currently, George spends his time writing articles for the monthly Greek magazine “Military History” (Στρατιωτική Ιστορία) he has completed a translation of a full account of the history of WWII from English to Greek and he’s writing a book on the battle of Marathon.
